What do I need, and is AI usage included?
You need macOS 14 or later, an internet connection, a Semicolon membership or active trial, your own Gemini API key, and Screen Recording permission. Google’s AI charges and rate limits are separate from your membership. Your API key is stored in your Mac’s Keychain. The app includes a setup guide.
Is it undetectable?
Yes, Semicolon macOS is completely undetectable. It works in lockdown environments flawlessly and has been constantly tested by myself and testers.
Will the indications work for every question?
Semicolon supports single-select, multi-select, and short written questions, with a separate profile for diagrams. Keep the complete question and choices visible.
Will it show in recordings?
Appearance is customizable, and there is an option to allow Semicolon in screenshots and recordings but it is off by default. Completely invisible to honorlock. Answer indications never accept clicks or typing.
How do cancellation and switching Macs work?
Both billing periods include the configured seven-day trial. Cancelling during the trial ends access when verified, even if trial time remains. Paid cancellation keeps access through the effective paid end date. A license is assigned to one Mac; contact support for an approved transfer if you replace it. Checkout shows the final billing terms.
Is the current Mac download notarized?
The current download is an early-access test build and is not Apple-notarized. macOS may ask you to approve it in System Settings → Privacy & Security. Download only from your trusted Semicolon source and follow Apple’s guidance. Do not disable system security protections. In-app Support includes diagnostics if you need help.
